Katamari Damacy is some weird, weird shit. I love it. It's sort of like the Pac-Man role-playing game (roll-playing?) -- as your sticky avatar grows in stature, areas and opponents too (literally) big to handle succumb to your avaricious might. It's fascinating to build a mental model of the doomed stuff in your vicinity, as you chart a course from smallest to biggest, rolling off tabletops and onto skyscrapers in order to repopulate the night sky with stars.
Apparently this thing has become impossible to keep in stock; I had to pre-order my copy on Thursday, and it arrived yesterday. And hey -- only $20. 10:02:48 AM ()
