In my quest to find and enjoy more comic books I mean uh graphic novels, I from time to time think "Aha! This author wrote one thing I like! I must buy all of his or her works!" So far this strategy has not been a grand slam. For example, while I loved Transmetropolitan and Planetary, Warren Ellis is maybe just a bit too much of a grumpy bastard for even me to take full time. And Alan Moore... well, I freaking loved Watchmen, but From Hell just didn't do it for me. And while Promethea and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen have their moments, I still yearned for another glimpse pure, unalloyed brilliance.
Happily, now I've read Top Ten (Book One). 2:04:38 PM ()

I Love Bees is one of these freaky online "alternate reality games" that's occasionally deployed to hype an upcoming game or movie. In this case, it's providing storyline leading into the upcoming release of Halo 2.
I'm not so interested in playing the game (which apparently revolves around getting to various payphones and answering questions to unlock content), but the content that's unlocked takes the form of a serial radio drama. And it's been conveniently collected.
And it's good. 2:00:58 PM ()
