I picked up The Animatrix today. It was definitely tasty. If you like anime and you like The Matrix, well... you put it together. It's not required viewing, even though The Last Flight of the Osiris leads into the events of The Matrix Reloaded, but it's definitely good stuff.
Like most anime, you may not see the kinds of story resolutions you're expecting too, but the artwork and animation are tremendous. The disc itself is also tremendous: the picture quality was crystal clear, throughout.
I think my favorite was Kid's Story, which surprised me, considering how irritating his cameo was in the movie :). (Aha: it was directed by the guy who directed Cowboy Bebop -- no wonder!) 6:23:30 PM ()
