Just got my phone call saying that my pre-ordered copy of WarCraft III will be available tomorrow. The local EB is going to open at 8am tomorrow to help accomodate the rush; in fact, they'll even be open at midnight tonight. I'm kinded of tempted to go, just to see obsessive Austin gaming geeks in action.
I feel bad for the guys who work at the EB. When I asked last week, they said they'd gotten nearly 200 pre-orders (and that they were shooting for 250). The phone message was about a minute long. Can you imagine having to make all of those phone calls -- and then to have to face those lines that next day? I hope they get good overtime pay tomorrow :).
(Don't worry, Kevin -- I'll still have time for that lovely Neverwinter Nights multiplay.)
(Don't worry, Carrie -- I won't go into even further seclusion.)
(Don't worry, Roger -- I'm still making good progress on that big engine rework.)
